note for Joshua
1.the risk of removing the miracles from narrative stories in bible to make the Bible more accessible for scientific age. apart from Jesus' parables, all were historical facts
2. Torah- God's promises
Joshua-Kings- promises fulfillment by obedience and curses by disobedience
3. archaeology cant prove miracles but the result of the miracles
4. bible is not the history of Israel but the history of God of Israel
5. without God's behalf intervene, it was impossible for Israel to conquer the promise land
6. the outline of the book of Joshua- sandwish(his commission which was proved by both of God and God's people; his command and his commitment before his death-loyalty of death) (Joshua's 80-120. 40 years)
Moses was a law giver as well as a leader;Joshua was only a leader
the day they crossed over the river jordan, mana stopped
read through the whole chapter other than reading out of the context
